Lenoir Orthopedics
Dr. Scott Stegbauer was recruited by Lenoir Memorial in 2007 to staff the hospital-owed practice in an effort to address a growing need in the community for additional orthopedic services. Please call the office at 252-522-4446 to schedule an appointment. If you are unable to keep your appointment, please notify us as soon as possible. We try to adhere to our appointment schedule and respect your time. We appreciate your patience if we are late due to emergencies or surgeries. We make every effort to be responsible when it comes to the costs associated with medical care. Therefore, we request payment for all office services at the time they are rendered unless prior arrangements have been made. We accept, checks, cash, MasterCard, Visa, American Express, and Discover. If we are a participating provider of your insurance company, we will bill them and request your co-payments. However, payment is the patient’s responsibility. We’ll assist in any way we can to help you in handling claims. We accept most major insurance plans including but not inclusive: Medicare, Medicaid, Aetna, Atlantic Integrated Health, BCBS, Cigna, Medcost, Tri-Care, and Workers Compensation.
Prescription Renewals
Please attempt to make all requests for prescriptions and authorizations for renewals at the time of your visit. Otherwise we ask that you contact the office between the hours of 8:30 am - 5:00 pm, Monday - Friday, when our full records are available.

Dr. Stegbauer
Scott Stegbauer, MD, is a graduate of the Medical College of Wisconsin and is Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery.

Dr. Classen
Dr. Classen is a graduate of the University of Maryland School of Medicine and is Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery

Orthopedics is the broad-based medical and surgical specialty dedicated to the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases and injuries of the musculoskeletal system. The frequency and impact of these diseases and injuries combined with recent advances in their diagnosis and treatment make orthopedics a critical part of health care.
Lenoir Orthopedics opened newly renovated offices in 2007. The facility boasts state-of-the-art imaging technology and is integrated into the hospital picture archiving and communications system (PACs) to make physician-to-physician communication fast and efficient.

Lighten Up Lenoir
Lighten Up Lenoir is a new free community weight loss program sponsored by the Minges Wellness Center and the Lenoir Memorial Foundation. On November 21, Lenoir Memorial opened its second hospital-owned clinic in Lenoir County. Lenoir Surgical, located in the old Kinston Surgical Associates offices, is now the office of Todd Tanner, MD. Tanner has been serving the patients of Eastern NC since 1998. He and his family have close ties to Kinston and are looking forward to making Kinston home.

Lenoir Memorial and Cherry Energy are teaming up in the fight against breast cancer. Cherry Energy has recently painted one of their delivery trucks pink and is "Fueling the Fight" against cancer. Lenoir Memorial was recently selected by the American Cancer Society as one of only three organizations in North Carolina to receive special grant funding to support the operation of a Cancer Resource Center. The resource center, allows Lenoir Memorial to elevate the level of care and services offered to cancer patients.

A personal wellness profile (PWP) is a health risk appraisal. This tool provides valuable personal information about you so that an indiviudalized plan for life-style improvements can be developed. The PWP includes an assessment of your blood pressure, heart-rate, height, weight, and full lipid panel (all cholesterols). You are asked to complete a simple questionnaire about cancer, safety, and cardiovascular risks. The two-part visit is $40.
