Dr. Scott Stegbauer was recruited by Lenoir Memorial in 2007 to staff the hospital-owed practice in an effort to address a growing need in the community for additional orthopedic services. Please call the office at 252-522-4446 to schedule an appointment. If you are unable to keep your appointment, please notify us as soon as possible. We try to adhere to our appointment schedule and respect your time. We appreciate your patience if we are late due to emergencies or surgeries. We make every effort to be responsible when it comes to the costs associated with medical care. Therefore, we request payment for all office services at the time they are rendered unless prior arrangements have been made. We accept, checks, cash, MasterCard, Visa, American Express, and Discover. If we are a participating provider of your insurance company, we will bill them and request your co-payments. However, payment is the patient’s responsibility. We’ll assist in any way we can to help you in handling claims. We accept most major insurance plans including but not inclusive: Medicare, Medicaid, Aetna, Atlantic Integrated Health, BCBS, Cigna, Medcost, Tri-Care, and Workers Compensation.
Please attempt to make all requests for prescriptions and authorizations for renewals at the time of your visit. Otherwise we ask that you contact the office between the hours of 8:30 am - 5:00 pm, Monday - Friday, when our full records are available.
Scott Stegbauer, MD, is a graduate of the Medical College of Wisconsin and is Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery.
Dr. Classen is a graduate of the University of Maryland School of Medicine and is Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery
Dr. Kuhn is a graduate of Uniformed Services University and completed his residency at the National Naval Medical Center. He is Board Certified in Orthopedics.
Dr. Woodcock is a graduate of Georgetown University School of Medicine and completed her residency at the Mayo Clinic.

Lenoir Orthopedics opened newly renovated offices in 2007. The facility boasts state-of-the-art imaging technology and is integrated into the hospital picture archiving and communications system (PACs) to make physician-to-physician communication fast and efficient.

Farmers Market pre-ordered deliveries at LMH

Lenoir Memorial receives $282,898 grant from The Duke Endowment
Lenoir Memorial has received a $282,898 grant from The Duke Endowment to fund the development of a primary stroke center. The grant will be used to develop a comprehensive program that will stabilize the treatment stroke patients including initial acute care. Program components will include prevention, treatment, and post-care follow-up. Constance Hengel, director of Community Programming and Development states, "Death rates from stroke in eastern NC are among the highest in the state and the nation so better stroke outcomes are the goal in this intervention. Rapid recognition of stroke and reduction of time from event to treatment will be a major focus in the project. Time is brain and every minute counts for someone having a stroke. Our hope is to help the community becomes more aware of stroke symptoms and improved recognition and time for getting affected residents to our hospital quickly so we can provide rapid treatment."LEARN MORE

Take Off Pounds Sensibly (TOPS) is an effective way to manage weight control. There is a nominal fee to join TOPS. Patricia Wyrick is the facilitator for Wednesday mornings and may be reached at 252-523-5391. These meetings are held from 9 am - 10:30 am in the Neuse Room at Lenoir Memorial (enter through the Minges Wellness Center entrance). This support group focuses on how to be successful losing weight and keeping the pounds off. There are two groups that meet at Lenoir Memorial. On Wednesday mornings meetings are held from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in the Neuse Room located on the lower level at Lenoir Memorial. Pat Wyrick is the facilitator and may be reached at 252-523-5391.
