Photo of a patient getting an x-ray.Dr. Scott Stegbauer was recruited by Lenoir Memorial in 2007 to staff the hospital-owed practice in an effort to address a growing need in the community for additional orthopedic services. Please call the office at 252-522-4446 to schedule an appointment. If you are unable to keep your appointment, please notify us as soon as possible. We try to adhere to our appointment schedule and respect your time. We appreciate your patience if we are late due to emergencies or surgeries. We make every effort to be responsible when it comes to the costs associated with medical care. Therefore, we request payment for all office services at the time they are rendered unless prior arrangements have been made. We accept, checks, cash, MasterCard, Visa, American Express, and Discover. If we are a participating provider of your insurance company, we will bill them and request your co-payments. However, payment is the patient’s responsibility. We’ll assist in any way we can to help you in handling claims. We accept most major insurance plans including but not inclusive: Medicare, Medicaid, Aetna, Atlantic Integrated Health, BCBS, Cigna, Medcost, Tri-Care, and Workers Compensation.

Prescription Renewals

Please attempt to make all requests for prescriptions and authorizations for renewals at the time of your visit. Otherwise we ask that you contact the office between the hours of 8:30 am - 5:00 pm, Monday - Friday, when our full records are available.

Orthopedics is the broad-based medical and surgical specialty dedicated to the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases and injuries of the musculoskeletal system. The frequency and impact of these diseases and injuries combined with recent advances in their diagnosis and treatment make orthopedics a critical part of health care.

Lenoir Orthopedics opened newly renovated offices in 2007. The facility boasts state-of-the-art imaging technology and is integrated into the hospital picture archiving and communications system (PACs) to make physician-to-physician communication fast and efficient.

Jonathan Anderson named PSEA of the Year

On February 25 a Lenoir Memorial's monthly Board of Director's dinner, Jonathan Anderson was named Presdient Service Excellence Award honoree for 2013.  President and CEO Gary Black read the nominations of all the quarterly finalists and explained the nomination process to those present.  "The PSEA program is one that allows anyone - peer, supervisor, or manager - the opportunity to recognized an employee for exemplary service.  Annually, we recognized about three worthy employees each month.  These PSEA recipients gather quarterly at a luncheon where the PSEA of the Quarter is named, resulting in four quarterly finaists from which one is chosen as PSEA of the Year.  This year the four finalists were Janet Tilghman, Gail Avery, Jonathan Anderson, and Sever Johnson."

Free Mammogram Screening - for high risk women

Women that qualify receive a free screening mammogram and education about breast self-exam.  To qualify, you must be a woman between the ages of 40 - 65, have no insurance to cover mammograms, and never have had a mammogram. Asthma, Allergies and Air Quality
